My mother has her biopsy for a lung cancer diagnosis on Monday. We are praying that it is non-small cell lung cancer because it is more treatable. I just ask for prayers that God gives her peace and strength, knowing that he is in control and he will walk with her through this battle.

Dear Jesus, I lift up this parent to You, who is carrying so many responsibilities and concerns at once. You see the weight they are under—the care for their dad and stepmother, the sorrow of declining health and hospice, the stress of selling a home, and the constant needs of their children. Lord, please bring peace into the middle of this storm. Quiet the feeling of overwhelm and replace it with steady calm and clarity. Give them wisdom for each decision, one step at a time, and the strength to handle what needs to be done today—without being crushed by everything at once. I pray for their stepmother—bring comfort, dignity, and peace in this time. Surround the whole family with Your presence as they walk through this difficult season. Please protect their oldest son as he travels. Keep him safe on the road, restore what was lost, and place the right people around him. Let him feel covered and guided wherever he goes. Bless and guide the youngest as they prepare for their mission trip and this new chapter of independence. Provide the right housing, the right timing, and confidence in each step forward. Lord, remind this parent that they do not have to carry everything alone. Be their refuge, their strength, and their steady place when everything feels uncertain. Renew their energy, guard their heart, and give them moments of rest even in the middle of responsibility. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
